The square type NaI(Tl) scintillator has a cuboid NaI(Tl) crystal which is housed in stainless steel cases or Aluminum cases. For measurements, the radiation can enter from the end face or the side surfaces of the cuboid, and light output can be obtained from the optical window mounted at the another end face.
