Machined studs and sleeves
Small hardware that has to fit something else exactly: a socket, a housing bore, or the rest of an assembly kit.
A stud or sleeve on its own means nothing; it is judged entirely by whether it fits its mate. That is why we ask what the part goes into, and why a mating sample is more useful to us than an extra decimal place on the drawing.
