Perforating, CNC routing, engraving or printing: how patterns are made
Four processes put a pattern into an aluminium panel and they are not interchangeable. Mould punching is fastest and cheapest where the pattern repeats over a large area. CNC routing handles thicker plate and profiled edges. Laser cutting gives the finest detail and smallest internal radii. Engraving and printing leave the panel solid, so they change appearance without giving any ventilation or shading benefit at all.
