IP68 marine LED lighting
IP68 rated underwater, hull and deck LED lighting for boats, vessels and dock installations.
IP67 and IP68 are one digit apart and describe different service conditions. IP67 covers temporary immersion; IP68 covers continuous immersion at a stated depth. A hull light is permanently below the waterline, so the distinction is not a marketing nicety.
Salt water attacks the fixing and the cable entry before it attacks the lamp. Marine units use marine grade housings, sealed entries and cabling chosen for immersion, because a light that survives the water and fails at the gland has still failed.
The range covers underwater transom and through-hull lamps, deck and spreader lighting and cabin strip, so a boat builder or refit yard can take the whole lighting package from one supplier with one set of documents.
