Slitting to feed existing lines
For operations that already convert paper but are paying a mill for custom widths.
Buying non-standard widths from a paper mill means minimum quantities, longer lead times and a price premium on every tonne. For an operation already running converting lines, that constraint is often the largest single cost in the paper bill.
A slitter removes it. Buy standard width, cut what each line needs, and hold one grade of paper instead of several. It also creates an option that did not exist before: selling trimmed widths as a product in their own right.
