One contact through the order
The person who quotes the job follows it through production, inspection and shipment.
Handovers lose information. A quotation passed to a production planner, then to a QC inspector, then to a shipping clerk arrives at each stage with a little less of the original conversation attached.
The person who prices the work follows it through. Parts are produced in Zhejiang and shipped from Shanghai, and the same contact covers both ends, which is why questions about a shipment do not require an internal investigation before they can be answered.
