Brass and copper plate
Polished copper plate for photoengraving and etching, and brass plate produced specifically for CNC engraving.
Copper and brass are the answer when the die has to survive a long run. Zinc and magnesium are softer and cheaper; a brass die costs more up front and keeps its edge through production volumes that would round off a softer plate.
Our brass plate is made specifically for CNC engraving rather than sold as general stock. That shows in tool life: a plate with inclusions or an inconsistent temper wears cutters faster and produces an edge that needs hand finishing.
Polished copper plate covers the photoengraving side of the same requirement. It etches to a clean profile and suits work where the image is fine and the run is long enough that a magnesium die would be replaced partway through.
