Four base technologies decide how a hair system looks and how long it lasts. This is what each one does, in our own words, with photographs from our own workshop.
Lace breathes and disappears at the front, and is the good choice for spring and summer. Skin is transparent and can be made as thin as 0.04mm, which is the most invisible base we make, but the thinner it is the shorter it lasts. Injected skin has no knots and lasts longer than v-looped super thin skin, down to 0.08mm. I-Lace, also called silk top, hides the knots under a silk layer coloured to match your own scalp.
Most of what we ship is a combination: a lace or scalloped skin front for the hairline, a mono or silk top for the part, and a poly coated back and sides for tape or glue. Tell us how you wear a system and we will tell you which combination fits.
French lace is a little more durable. Swiss lace is a little thinner. German lace is a little stiffer and is not popular, so we rarely use it.
0.04mm to 0.06mm. As far as we know this is the thinnest skin thickness anywhere, and the skin is transparent, so nobody can discover you are wearing the toupee.
I-Lace is also named silk top or injected lace. The hair is knotted in lace and pulled through silk, so the surface has invisible knots and the hair looks like it grows out of the scalp.
Our super thin skin is 0.04mm to 0.06mm thick, which is the thinnest skin we know of anywhere. Injected thin skin reaches 0.08mm. Regular and thick skin are also available if you want a more durable system.
