Copper stranded wire
Fine stranded copper built to a target resistance, outer diameter and tensile strength rather than to a nominal gauge.
Most stranded wire is bought by gauge, which fixes the cross section and leaves everything else to chance. Building instead to a resistance and an outer diameter lets a cable designer hold the finished diameter while still hitting the electrical target.
