Magnesium tooling and vibration test plate, and brass produced specifically for CNC engraving rather than sold as general stock.
Magnesium tooling plate is specified where a flat, hard and dimensionally persistent plate is needed and weight matters. It is the same metal as the etching plate but a different product, made for a mechanical rather than a photographic requirement.
For CNC engraving, brass produced for the purpose saves tool life and gives a better engraved finish than general stock. That difference is invisible on the invoice and very visible in the cutter cost over a year.
