A refrigerated body is only as good as the temperature it can hold at the end of a long delivery round in the heat, not the temperature it reaches in an empty yard. Insulation thickness and unit capacity are specified against the climate the vehicle will actually work in.
Body length, door arrangement and whether the load is single or multi temperature are agreed before the build, so the vehicle suits the route rather than a catalogue drawing.
