Export documents you receive with a Chinese special vehicle
The document set a destination customs office will ask for, and why it is agreed before the vehicle is built rather than after.
Every shipment carries a commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading and certificate of origin. Special vehicles usually also need the chassis certificate, the body manufacturer's declaration and, depending on destination, a conformity or type-approval document.
The document that most often causes a delay is the one nobody mentioned at order stage. Some markets require an inspection certificate from a nominated agency, issued before shipment; obtaining it afterwards is either impossible or expensive.
We agree the document set at the specification stage and list it in the order confirmation, so that what is required and who obtains it is settled while the vehicle is still on the line.
