Appliance panel steel supply
Pre-coated surface steel that forms without cracking, so an appliance line needs no paint shop of its own.
The paint shop is the most capital-intensive and most regulated part of an appliance plant. Pre-coated steel removes it, which changes both what a smaller producer can compete on and where a plant can be sited.
The specification question is the bend radius rather than the colour. We ask for the panel geometry so the coating system is matched to the forming the panel will actually see, which is the failure mode that appears in production rather than in a sample.
