Where a plant runs aluminium, zinc, copper or stainless work, the media is a contamination control rather than a consumable. The correct alloy removes the problem entirely, and it removes the passivation or rework step that otherwise follows the blast line.
Supplying all four non-ferrous alloys from one producer keeps the specifications consistent between them, which matters in a shop running several substrates through adjacent machines.
